Always remember that you don’t really know anything about the world we live in. And isn’t that liberating?
What happens when we think we know and disregard the fact that we don’t know? We start fighting with each other because we all (think we) have the ultimate truth. I am, of course, over-generalizing but I also think there’s some truth to it. Would religious wars exist if people could say “Okay, I don’t agree with you but I respect you anyway” or “You actually have a point in what you’re saying. I will take it into consideration”.
Being wrong is equated with being the weaker one (and thus lessening your chance of survival) opposed to the person who is right. That is why it’s so hard to admit that you’re wrong.
What if you were to stay open to change and be ready to always challenge your beliefs? And even better. What if you could be prepared to be wrong more often?
You might realize that things which were impossible before are now within reach.
I could be wrong though.
